ABOUT ME
Birds Eye consists of composer and producer Phillip Makris. He began learning music at the age of 12 and came to eventually learn 5 instruments including the guitar, bass, drums, piano and cello.
After learning and growing up around classic rock and metal he began to gain interest in the technical side of music production, leading him to discover electronic music and dj'ing. After years of making genres such as house, dubstep, electro-house and minimal he discovered artists like Emancipator, Pretty Lights and Gramatik that showed a fusion between organic instrumentation and synthesis.
With the want to incorporate his knowledge of instruments with his abilities in electronic music he began the project "Birds Eye". Using acoustic instruments, electric guitar, piano, synths, as well as sampling, Birds Eye brings an original sound using elements of lofi-hiphop along with acoustic and electric instruments, synths and hip-hop drums.
